Fender Amplifiers

Fender amplifiers are seen on stages around the world. They’re known for their sweet cleans, warm saturation, musical tremolo, and lush spring reverbs. At almost every point in pop music history Fender has been the go-to means for amplifying guitars, basses, and electric pianos. Fender’s most popular amp designs originate from the mid 50’s and 60’s, these amps are still being manufactured today. In the modern age where technology and innovation is king musicians still seek out these simple analog tube amplifiers. DSP(digital signal processing) can get very close to the feel and sound of these amps, but there’s nothing quite like the real things. This site focuses on a few of the more popular amp designs created by Fender.

Fender tones in different sizes

Fender had many different eras of amp, three of the most well-known are the tweed, black panel, and silver panel amps. The tweed amps came first and are more known for their midrange and overdriving characteristic. The black panel amps came later and are synonymous with high clean headroom and spring reverb. The earlier silver panel amps are almost identical to their black panel cousins, just with a few aesthetic changes. All the amps being showcased here are black panel/silver panel amp design with an exception to the Bassman.
